Filming on the series' first season began on August 27, 2020, and concluded on April 24, 2021, in Vancouver, with the outdoor, mountainous wilderness around Squamish and Fraser Valley, plus various other locations in British Columbia[96] with aerial shots of Helena, Montana's capital.[97] Filming was originally set to take place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Las Vegas, Nevada, but the series was moved to Vancouver in July 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States.[98] The series was one of many American television productions in Vancouver that briefly halted filming in late September 2020, due to delays in receiving cast and crew COVID-19 test results.[99][100] On August 12, 2021, it was reported that the second season is scheduled to film in Rio Rancho, New Mexico from August 2021 through April 2022.[101]

China successfully tested a hypersonic aircraft on Friday (Aug. 3), one that could one day be capable of firing nuclear missiles around the planet at up to six times the speed of sound, according to China's state-run news site China Daily.

While the technology is still likely years away from being ready for use in a combat setting, Chinese military expert Song Zhongping told China's Global Times that the successful test puts China "shoulder to shoulder" with the U.S. and Russia in the development of hypersonic striking systems.

BlissLights has a collection of 'Galaxy lights', mood lights and seasonal lights available at a reasonable price point. Here, we look at the Sky Lite 2.0, the second generation of galaxy projectors from BlissLights. Unlike the first-gen version, the Sky Lite Classic (opens in new tab), it has three colors, green lasers, is app-controlled, has a customizable timer and has more default light display modes. We put it to the test to see if it's worthy of sitting among the top star projectors like the Sega Homestar Flux from our other reviews. If star projectors are your thing, you might also want to have a look at the actual night sky, too. Be sure to check out our guide to the best telescopes, best binoculars, or, if you want to image the stars have a look at our roundup of the best cameras for photos and videos, and best lenses for astrophotography.

The unit is a very compact and light wheel shape with two 'support panels' (legs) which means you can either point the light and laser straight up to the ceiling or position it at more of a 45-degree angle. This is a bit limiting and means it isn't as easy to position, compared to a star projector like the Sega Homestar Flux. The advantage of this shape however is that it would easily slip onto a bookcase or small bedside table, not taking up much more room than a book.

For chromosome 13, it is possible to diagnose the occurrence of a deletion that is identified as 13q minus syndrome by using SKY only, but this does not reveal information about the breakpoints. By simultaneously combining this SKY-derived information with the banding patterns to be tested, it can be diagnosed as a paracentric deletion with breakpoints at q21.2 and q31.2. The karyotype of Case 2 is described as 46,XX, der(2)t(2:4)(q24.2;p14)inv(4) (p15.1p15.32), der(4)t(2;4), del(13)(q21.2q31.2) or 46,XX,t(2;4) (q24.2;p14), del(13)(q21.2q31.2). As stated above, it is difficult to make a definitive diagnosis from the results of a SKY analysis alone, and also one needs to be careful, because the conventional method of G-band staining cannot be used directly as a stand-alone substitute. Thus, more reliable interpretation and diagnosis can be made by combining the information from the two separate techniques, as neither of them can be used for unequivocal diagnosis.

MAKO recently added a new laboratory based antigen test to continue building out its COVID-19 diagnostic offering to aid in the fight against the pandemic. The test will help individuals determine if they have active COVID-19 virus in their system. MAKO partnered with Diasorin to bring this highly sensitive antigen test to the masses. With a sensitivity of 97.1% and a specificity of 100%, utilizing nasal and nasopharyngeal swabs, MAKO is able to turn results around in less than 24 hours with a capacity to run over 100,000 tests per day. The MAKO Antigen test looks for the identification of SARS-CoV-2 N protein antigen, which is generally detectable during the acute phase of infection. The MAKO Antigen test combines a highly accurate in-lab antigen test with a high-throughput platform to support large scale screening of the active virus of COVID-19. This cost effective test will help mass screening and determine whether a person diagnosed with the virus continues to have and carry the virus. MAKO continues to be the one-stop-shop for your laboratory needs.

In response to the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), MAKO Medical Laboratories has worked rapidly to develop a new multiplex real-time RT-PCR diagnostic test to enable clinical and government providers to quickly diagnose COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection. 2ff7e9595c
